The decision to install a stairlift can be quite a daunting one. The answers to the following common questions below could help remove some of your worries before you start to look at the different options available.
How long does installation take?
Generally two to four hours will be enough for our qualified fitting team to install your new stairlift and show you how it works. In some cases the complexity of the staircase can push the fitting outside of this guideline. Our friendly team will advise you of the estimated installation time after your assessment. We do everything we can to ensure you are happy before we start.
Will redecoration be required?
In most cases the new stairlift is sited to the staircase and not your wall, the decoration is not affected. For some fittings, we could be moving handrails or reducing windowsills that may be in the way, in these cases you may have some minor redecoration to under take once we have completed your installation. We will show you exactly where your stairlift will runs and highlight if areas may need attention after your stairlift is fitted.
How will I use my Stairlift during a Power Failure
The Minivator Simplicity Series charge wherever it is left on the track. All stairlifts operate on battery power, these re-charge everytime you park your lift at a charge point. This means your stairlift will work a limited number of times if the power supply is interupted.
How do I charge my stairlift?
your stairlift charges has a charge point so it charges whilst you are not using it. If you leave it off charge, there are audible and visual signals to alert you that your lift is not on charge. The power supply to the stairlift should be left on at all times.If Stairlift batteries are allowed to go completely flat they may need replacing.
Can i have a new carpet after installation?
Your new stairlift can be removed and re-fitted if you wish to have a new carpet laid. At Multicare we offer a full removal and re-installation service.
How long after i order will you install?
